The Bronx Zoo

The Bronx Zoo is a lot bigger than the Philadelphia Zoo. This facility is about 265 acres of park land housing roughly 4000 animals.

This exhibit has a variety of mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. Some mammals include: aardvark, chinchilla, elephant, giraffe, sea lion, gorilla, bear, lion, rhinoceros, polar bear, red panda, leopard, tigers and many more! Some of the birds include: Bali Mynah, bald eagle, flamingo, penguin, parakeet, white-faced scops owl, and white throated bee-eater. Some of the reptiles and amphibians include: alligator snapping turtle, american alligator, anaconda, emerald tree boa, gecko, king cobra, nile crocodile, frogs, tortoise, and many more!

As you can see there are many, many different species to explore! My favorite exhibit at the Bronx Zoo is the polar bears! It is extraordinary to see such a large, beautiful animal go in and out of the water and play with the other polar bears.
