The San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo is about 100 acres in size and houses over 4,000 animals including more than 800 different species! This facility includes amphibians, birds, arthropods, mammals, and reptiles. Some of the amphibians include: frogs, toads, newts, salamanders, and mantella. Some of the birds include: bald eagle, flamingos, cranes, cockatoo, condor, hornbill, macaw, ostrich, owls, parrots, and many others. Some of the arthropods include: ants, bees, beetles, butterflies, dragonflies, scorpions, spiders, tarantulas, and some others. There are a large variety of mammals, including: bears, antelopes, fox, bats, camels, cheetahs, leopards, chimpanzees, dolphin, elephants, panda, gorilla, giraffe, kangaroo, monkey, polar bear, sea lions, and many others!

My favorite animal at this exhibit is the giant panda. This animal is truly beautiful and it is so cool to watch them eat bamboo!
